Social Distancing is Vital in Stopping COVID-19: Embrace the Quarantine Life

In our modern age of globalism, viruses, bacteria and disease travel at a rate never before seen, however, so too does information.
This is the great equalizer and moving into the coming days, as the masses truly begin to wake up to the new reality that they now find themselves living in, information is going to be vital.
The ability to learn, inform yourself and get the latest, breaking news in regard to a global pandemic is almost instantaneous.
This allows people to react quicker, respond faster and take the required steps in helping slow down the spread of COVID-19, where as in previous crisis, the spread of information occurred at a much slower rate.
This rapid spread of information means that people are much more conscious of the decisions that they make, that could possible affect others adversely in these precarious times.
Additionally, it allows people to apply this knowledge in a very powerful way to others around them.
This is where the true power of social awareness comes into effect.
Mass Social Awareness Will Slow the Spread of COVID-19
The fact of the matter is, we live in a global society, a massively interconnected one, in which everyone has some skin in the game and are thus highly motivated to keep the engine chugging along as smoothly as possible.
Social media is one of the tools that we now have access to, of which we didn’t just a few short decades ago, which can help in the spread of this social awareness and of which people can point out the flaws and mistakes of others, helping society as a whole have not only a few laughs, but also correct course and make smarter decisions moving forward.
We are seeing this in action, in real time, including on Twitter today, in which #QuarantineLife is the top trending hashtag on the platform.
As scary as this is, this is great news, as it means that people are taking this outbreak incredibly serious and are attempting to use social media to spread awareness.
Additional, this phase of peak social awareness that we are now entering into, will help in a powerful way, via stigmatizing negative behavior, that could increase the spread of the coronavirus.
As previously stated, we live in a highly interconnect global society, and the vast majority of people are well aware of this. They prefer to not be ostracized for making decisions that could negatively impact not only themselves, but everyone around them.
This does not include taking the necessary steps in preparing, protecting yourself, or your family, in fact, as I will highlight in a future article, preparation will help play a vital role in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
This change in people behaviors, attitudes and the general overall collective zeitgeist of society as a whole is going to be vital moving forward in the coming days, weeks and sadly yes, even months as the coronavirus continues its steady march around the world.
Together we can get through this, together we can drastically reduce the impact of COVID-19 and together, in the end, we will all be better people because of it.
Stay safe and for the love of God, wash your hands you filthy animals.
